I was a patient at DFC rehab facility and recently graduated. I can say hands down they saved my life . Not only did they teach me about alcoholism and what it means to be in recovery . i developed long time friendships that i know will help me to stay sober . i also loved how caring the staff where. I wasn't the easiest patient at first but with their love and support i was able to not only become a recovering alcoholic but i have become a whole new person . I would highly recommend going here if you or a family member is still struggling

My daughter is currently attending CALO in Lake Ozark. First of all, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are truly amazing—caring, supportive, and dedicated to the students’ growth. As with any program, there are always a few individuals who could work a little harder, smarter, or with more kindness, but overall, the staff makes a huge difference. My daughter has made tremendous progress in some areas, while growth in others has been slower—but this is expected in such a complex journey. The therapists working with both students and families have been instrumental in helping us uncover and heal from past trauma. The parent retreats that the therapists run are wonderful and have helped us grow closer. One of the most unique and impactful aspects of CALO is the canine therapy program. Each girl has the opportunity to work with a Golden Retriever, and these dogs have proven to be a tremendous source of comfort and healing. They provide steady, nonjudgmental support and play a crucial role in helping with attachment challenges and anxiety. Unfortunately, the director for the teen girls has been the opposite of supportive. She has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when it comes to assisting us and other parents in finding resources for life after CALO. This lack of professionalism and unwillingness to guide families through discharge planning directly undermines the progress the students make while in treatment. For a program that emphasizes lifelong healing, the director’s attitude is both shocking and disappointing, and it leaves parents feeling abandoned at one of the most critical stages of their child’s recovery. While we are grateful for the opportunities and healing that CALO has provided, families deserve leadership that is just as committed to the success of students after discharge as it is to their progress during treatment.
